The annual Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Minnesota takes place on Saturday, January 30, at 1PM at Lake Kohlmier in Owatonna. Roy Koenig from KRFO and Kat Kountry 105 is the emcee for the event.

According to plungemn.org, last year 175 plungers raised more than $36,000. Shuttle buses will be available to take you between the plunge site and the parking lot of Federated Insurance. Disability parking will be available onsite, as well as parking for volunteers. All others are asked to park at Federated Insurance. Shuttles will run continuously starting at 11AM through the end of the plunge. We encourage all participants and spectators to carpool when able to avoid heavy car traffic. Federated is at 1929 S. Cedar Ave.

Check out plungemn.org for complete details. You can also register ahead of time on that site.
