Paradise Community Theater Features Show About Faribault History

The Paradise Community Theater is excited about a production produced entirely by Faribault area youth that deals with the beginnings of the Faribault community.  Samuel Temple and Logan Ledman produce a FCTV history series entitled "1855".  Their play is "A Celebration of Faribault: The 1855 Live Show."  Described by the Paradise Center for the Arts as, "a charming immersive,emotionally affecting historical saga."

The production will feature a youth orchestra playing an original score written by the series' composer Sam Dwyer.  That's right he scores the music for te FCTV history series also.  The show will be performed Friday, September 21 and Friday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday September 23 and Sunday September 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $14 for members, $16 for non-members and $10 for students.

The description of the production on the Paradise Center for the Arts website is:

Thomas S. Buckham is a a young lawyer in the frontier town of Faribault, Minnesota when an unspeakably brutal war sets the young state ablaze. Tom volunteers to fight, bringing him face-to-face with Alexander Faribault-the city's idealistic founder and a man torn between serene memories and a changing world.  When the past crumbles around Alex and the compassionate Bishop Whipple, Tom will struggle to build a future for himself and his distant sweetheart, Anna Mallery, a woman with an unyielding spirit and a deep capacity for love.

Directors Temple and Ledman will be guests on today's AM Minnesota show beginning 9:30 a.m.  If you can't tune in at that time we will have the show uploaded to our website www.kdhlradio.com by tomorrow afternoon due to the Labor Day holiday.
