Owatonna Parks and Recreation will have its Winter Weekend Out February 5-7.

Activities start Friday, February 5, with a sledding party at West Hill from 1-2PM. Bring your own sled. At 2PM free hot chocolate and games will be offered at SeniorPlace. The movie Ice Age: The Meltdown will be shown at 3PM.

On Saturday, February 6, there will be a fat tire bike demo at Kaplan's Woods from 1-5PM. There will be five or six bikes to check out in the parking lot. There will be a Fat Bike trail of just over a mile to try fat biking. Bike helmets will be required. Kaplan's Woods has about 6 miles of trails for fat biking. Bring the family down to the Morehouse Chalet/Skating Rink at 5:30PM for a bonfire, hot chocolate and hot dogs. Ski and ice skate rental will be available.

Sunday, February 7, is the date for the annual family ice fishing event at Lake Kohlmier from 1-3PM. There will be information booths and three Cabela's gift cards will be given away. Enjoy free hot chocolate. You're asked to bring your own fishing gear as there will be a limited supply of ice fishing roads. Kids 15 and younger may fish without a fishing license. Bait will be provided.
