The Owatonna Parks and Recreation's Trick or Treat Trail is ready for its third season on Saturday, October 29. Last year about 1,000 youngsters took part with about the same expected for this year. It runs from 2-4PM at Manthey Park on the north end of Owatonna.

There will be 12 booths manned by businesses with another 15 or so booths on hand.

Kids are encouraged to get dressed up and visit the local businesses along the trail for treats, games, a photo shoot and crafts. There will also be a tattoo booth. Alpacas and birds will be among the attractions in the petting zoo.

New this year will be a kiddie train ride, scavenger hunt and a trunk or treating.

There will also be two bounce houses along with free hot chocolate. Papa Murphy's Pizza will be available for sale until 5PM, otherwise everything else is free.

Mom and dad, pack up the kids and make it a fun and inexpensive Saturday afternoon for the whole family at Manthey Park.
