Owatonna freshman Lindsay Bangs added to her personal trophy case with medals in the all-around and on the uneven bars at Saturday's individual portion of the state gymnastics meet. She just missed the medal stand in the vault and floor exercise, finishing in the top ten in each. Senior Becca Olson and juniors Ali An and Syndey Kretlow also participated Saturday. On Friday Owatonna captured the third place trophy in the team event for the second straight year. This was the Huskies' third straight appearance at state.

Bangs was in second place in the all-around standings after a solid vault (9.575) and uneven parallel bars routine (9.6). However she fell during her tumbling on the beam and had to settle for a 9.0. Bangs finished with 9.55 on the floor. She finished fifth in the all-around standings with 37.175. Bangs took fourth last year. She also earned the sixth place medal on the bars. She just missed the medal stand with a seventh place finish on the vault and ninth on the floor exercise.

Olson improved on her Friday team score on the balance beam (9.25) for 18th place, matched her vault score (9.325) and was off a fraction on the bars (9.2) for 19th place. An scored 9.4 on bars for 13th place and 9.225 on the floor on Saturday. Kretlow matched her vault score from the previous day with 9.475, good for 15th place.
