Owatonna senior Brandon Moen is poised on the edge of history. He is one win shy of tying Alex Meger for the top spot on the career wins list with 199 victories.

The Huskies wrestle twice on Thursday. If Moen competes in both meets it is quite likely he will tie and pass Meger and reach 200 career wins. Moen is 7-0 after missing the first month of the season recovering from a knee injury suffered last summer. The defending state champ is top-ranked at 182 pounds.

No. 6AAA Owatonna faces Winona at 5PM and Austin at 8PM. Each match will be carried on KRFO AM 1390. The Huskies go to the Mounds View Tournament on Saturday and will wrestle four times.

In a battle of top five ranked gymnastics teams, No. 3AA Owatonna competes at No. 5A Austin on Thursday at 6:30PM at the Austin YMCA. The Huskies' boys swimming team entertains Winona at 6PM at the junior high.

Owatonna's No. 20A girls hockey team skates at Rochester Mayo on Thursday at 7:30PM at Graham Arena. Action will be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM. OHS boys hockey is home versus Mayo at 7PM.

Area basketball Thursday includes the Triton boys at Randolph. Local wrestling features Westfield at Medford, USC at NRHEG and Triton hosting Lake City and Byron.
