Owatonna High School wrestling is ranked sixth in Class AAA in the December 11 rankings. That's up one spot after beating then-No. 6 Hastings on December 4.

Farmington is No. 3AAA and just beat No. 1AA Simley over the weekend. The Tigers are the defending Section 1AAA champions and beat Owatonna in early December. New section opponent Lakeville South in among the "Lean and Mean" honorable mention teams. St. Michael-Albertville and Apple Valley hold down the top two spots.

Individually, Owatonna has six ranked wrestlers.

  • Peyton Robb, second at 120 pounds
  • Cade King, ninth at 132
  • Tanner Cole, fourth at 138
  • Brandon Moen, third at 182
  • Goy Tut, seventh at 220
  • Austin Abbas, eighth at heavyweight

Simley is tops in the AA poll, with Section 1AA teams Kasson-Mantorville and Albert Lea Area right behind.

Minneota is top rated in A. Kenyon-Wanamingo, who shifted from Section 1 to Section 2, is ranked second. Defending Section 1A champ Zumbrota-Mazeppa is fourth.

Several local Class A wrestlers are top 10-ranked.

  • Cordell Peterson, NRHEG, 10th at 120
  • Randy Henderson, Triton, fifth at 220
