Owatonna won their first round game at the state adapted floor hockey tournament 11-8 Friday night. The NRHEG girls basketball team lost in the Section 2AA finals.

The Huskies got behind early but won a back and forth game against Dakota United 11-8 at Bloomington Jefferson High School. Senior Alex Burns scored six goals, according to the Minnesota State High School League website. Owatonna plays in the semifinals at noon Saturday against Anoka-Hennepin. The championship game is at 4PM. The third place game is at 3:30PM.

The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls basketball team lost the Section 2AA final to Norwood-Young America 67-56 Friday night at MSU-Mankato. The Panthers trailed all night, but kept it close. NRHEG ends its season at 23-6. Seniors on the roster include Hailey Schuller, Sophia Fischer and Emily Eder.

Goodhue won the 1A girls basketball final 85-52 over Rushford-Peterson. The Wildcats advance to the state tournament, which begins at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota on Thursday, March 17, for the Class A teams.

The Goodhue boys basketball team advanced to the state Class A championship game with their 41-38 victory over Central Minnesota Christian on Friday at Target Center. They will play top seed and top-ranked Minneapolis North at 11AM on KDHL AM 920.

The rest of the schedule has Braham versus Jackson County Central in the AA title game at 1PM, Minneapolis DeLaSalle against Fergus Falls at 5PM for the AAA championship and Lakeville North taking on Hopkins at 8PM in the AAAA game. All the championship games will be heard on KDHL Radio AM 920.
