Owatonna first-year volleyball coach Whitney Ordal thinks her players will be extra fired up to face Bethlehem Academy Monday night since she used to coach there with Franz Boelter. She would prefer the team focus on their own game and end the regular season on a strong note.

Ordal says the team has been playing with strong passion lately and wants to see that for these final two home matches before sections begin, "I'm really hoping that these girls can bring home what we've been playing with the road...When they play like that they are a very successful team."

But she can't totally dismiss who will be on the other player benches, "But it will be really fun to go against him. I know he puts up a good team every year. The lucky thing is I still know some of the girls. So we definitely practiced against some of their tendencies."

Boelter has won more than 500 career matches and is a member of the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. His teams have won the state title seven times with five runner-up finishes.

OHS (10-15) has won four of its last five matches. The match against the No. 5A Cardinals (10-11) begins around 7PM Monday on KDHL AM 920. Tuesday's senior night match with Mankato West at Owatonna will be on KRFO AM 1290. Playoffs begin Wednesday October 25.
