Owatonna boys tennis is scheduled to open Section 1AA tournament play Tuesday. The OHS girls lacrosse team is looking forward to a big conference grudge match. The weather could play a role in their efforts.

Huskies boys tennis hosts Austin at 4PM at the West Hills Tennis Center in the opening round of the section tournament. Owatonna has had a solid season with a 14-4 dual meet record and fourth-place finish in the Big Nine Conference tournament Saturday.

OHS girls lacrosse is unbeaten in the Big Nine at 7-0 on the conference website. Tuesday the Huskies host Mankato (7-1) at 7:15PM at Husky Stadium. Owatonna won 10-7 at Mankato earlier this season. The Owatonna boys, who pulled even atop the league standings Friday with a 14-9 win over Northfield, go to Mankato for a 6PM faceoff Tuesday.

Owatonna baseball at Faribault on Tuesday has been moved up to a 4:30PM start at Bell Field. OHS softball entertains unbeaten Faribault at 5PM at Manthey Park on KDHL AM 920. The game was moved to Manthey due to field conditions at Morehouse, where OHS usually holds their home varsity games. Huskies boys track goes to Faribault and the girls head to Red Wing.

Local softball features Blooming Prairie hosting Rochester Lourdes and Triton at Byron. The Gopher Conference track meet is slated for Medford on Tuesday. The NRHEG girls golfers host a meet and Triton's boys go to Lake City.
