A busy spring sports schedule and a great forecast come together for Owatonna High School sports teams this weekend, April 15-16.

Owatonna's girls lacrosse team is heading to hockey country to open its season. The Huskies play Hermantown on Friday at 7:30PM and Duluth East on Saturday at 2PM. Both games are at East High School. The forecast is for temperatures in the 60s.

The Huskies' boys lacrosse team opens its season Saturday at home at 6:30PM versus Rochester Mayo. Home games are at OHS.

OHS boys golf plays in a two-day event starting Friday in Litchfield and continuing Saturday at Willmar. Owatonna's girls golfers play at Faribault on Friday and the boys track team goes to Stillwater.

Saturday the Huskies' softball team travels to Mankato East for an 11AM doubleheader. And the boys tennis team hosts Rochester JM and Red Wing at the high school courts at 9AM.

KRFO-area sports on Friday, April 15, includes NRHEG baseball at Albert Lea and Medford hosting Tri-City United. Tigers softball plays at TCU. Triton's track team goes to Plainview-Elgin-Millville and the Cobras' boys golfers play The Legacy in Faribault.

Saturday, April 16, events include Blooming Prairie baseball at Maple River, Medford softball at the Glenville-Emmons tournament, Triton softball at the St. Clair tournament and Blooming Prairie hosting a boys golf invitational.
