The stakes were high Friday for several local teams. Owatonna softball lost to Lakeville South while Blooming Prairie softball and NRHEG baseball won elimination games.

Owatonna girls fast pitch softball built an 8-2 lead over Lakeville South. But the defending state champion Cougars rallied back for an 11-9 victory to knock the Huskies out of the Section 1AAA tournament.

Blooming Prairie softball lost the subsection final to Hayfield 5-0 but bounced back with a 10-4 win over Waterville to earn a trip back to Todd Park in Austin on Tuesday.

NRHEG baseball upset Waterville 10-4 to advance into the section 2AA semifinals Tuesday at Waseca.

Owatonna boys and girls track finished seventh in the Big Nine conference meet Friday at Mankato East.

Triton boys golf won its subsection Friday and will advance to the section tournament next week.
