The Owatonna Shriners will have their free pediatric orthopedic screening for children on Saturday, April 29, at the Owatonna Public Library. Hours will be 9:30AM to noon in the Gainey Room on the third floor. Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by calling (507) 456-2069.

This free screening clinic is open to children up to age 18. A doctor and nurse will be on hand to provide a free screening and make a determination as to whether the Shriner's Hospital can help. Children who are potential candidates may suffer from afflictions such as sore, painful or stiff joints; limb deficiency; club feet; flat feet; or curved spine. Sports injuries may also qualify for free treatment. This is the 20th year the Owatonna Shriners have provided this free screening. In a typical screening day, about five to 10 children are examined.

The Shriners Hospitals for Children in the Twin Cities have been providing medical care for children since 1923.
