Owatonna Parks and Recreation announces that the popular Owatonna Park Passport program is now underway. The goal is simple as Parks and Rec wants to get as many people as possible out and about in our park system. Everyone needs some type of exercise, and what's better than a stroll or brisk walk through some of our parks.

The Passport program is simple to take part in. Go to the Owatonna Parks and Recreation website and print out your passport or stop into their offices.  You then go to the parks listed and look for the signs with a word on it. Write the word down from each park and reveal the phrase. Turn your completed passport into Parks and Rec by October 12 at noon.

Prizes this fall include a gift package from Cabela's valued at over $500. They will also award a $350 gift certificate toward a Brooktree Golf Course membership in 2018. There is also a bike package from Straight River Sports and passes to River Springs Water Park to win.

Get ready now as the signs go up on September 8.
