Owatonna had a pair of top five finishes at the Hamline Elite Meet on Friday. Medford's qualifier came away with a top 10 performance.

The Elite Meet brings together the top performers of the track and field season thus far in Class A and AA to compete head-to-head at the same location that will host the state meet in June.

Owatonna's girls 4x200 relay finished fourth, shaving about three seconds off their season best time, according to Huskies coach Ann Christensen, who spoke on the KRFO coach show Saturday morning. The team consists of Steph Kretlow, Sydney Schultz, Karissa Gregory and Margo Achterkirch.

OHS hurdler Jacob Johnson finished fifth in the 110 hurdles, an event where he took fourth place at the 2015 state meet. His time of 15.27 seconds Friday in St. Paul was slightly slower than his qualifying time, achieved Tuesday in Mankato. He just missed having the chance to run the 300 hurdles at Hamline. His goal is to make it to state in both events.

Medford's Rachael Luebbe finished eighth in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet. She qualified for the meet with a 5-3 jump last weekend.
