Owatonna pulled away from John Marshall in the fourth quarter for a 26-7 win. West rallied from behind against East in Mankato and held on for the 28-23 win Friday night.

Owatonna's defense was dominant in the second half of their 26-7 victory over Rochester JM Friday at the Owatonna football field. The score was tied entering the final frame. The Huskies engineered three short touchdown drives set up by their defense and special teams. Coach Jeff Williams' interview from Saturday's coaches show is available below.

Mankato West scored first in their crosstown showdown with East High School, but then had to rally from behind in the second half. With the Scarlets leading 28-21, the Cougars marched to the one-yard line but were turned aside on fourth down. West took a safety on the final play to earn the 28-23 victory.

Faribault overwhelmed Red Wing 41-0. The Falcons defense held the Wingers to 70 total yards of offense. Farbault had about 500 yards with 300 on the ground.

Rochester Mayo jumped ahead 17-0 on their way to a 24-6 win in their crosstown match-up with Rochester Century. Mayo's Quentin Chatman had two interceptions, returning one for a 102-yard touchdown.

Northfield clobbered New Prague 45-25 while accumulating more than 400 yards of offense. Each of two Raiders quarterbacks tossed a touchdown pass.

Winona scored 21 points in the first quarter on their way to a 48-7 win over Austin. The Winhawks rushed for 275 yards.
