The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute-Owatonna Hospital is offering a free program designed to help older adults manage falls and increase activity levels.

The classes begin September 14 and will be held Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30-11:30AM for four weeks. The classes will be at the Owatonna Hospital at 2250 Northwest 26th Street in Owatonna. The group will be led by a trained facilitator. The goal of the class is to improve balance, flexibility and strength, with an emphasis on managing falls.

Attendees will learn to set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, exercise to increase strength and balance and learn to view falls as controllable.

Instructors will be physical therapists Greg Lenz and Heather Lenz from the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute.

You can learn more or sign up for the classes by going to the Allina Health website. The classes are free.
