Owatonna High School boys basketball will host Coaches Vs. Cancer on Thursday, Jan. 22. Huskies girls hockey will Skate for a Cure on Saturday night Jan. 24.

The University of Minnesota football traveling trophies Little Brown Jug and Floyd of Rosedale will be present at Owatonna High School on Thursday from 6:15 p.m. until halftime of the boys game vs. Rochester Mayo. For a donation to "Coaches Vs Cancer" fans can get a picture of themselves with the trophies. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

OHS GIRLS HOCKEY, SKATE FOR A CURE, VS J.M. SATURDAY, JAN. 24

The Owatonna players will each skate in honor or in memory of someone special to them who has been touched by cancer. Players will tape their sticks in different colors to represent different forms of cancer. They will also wear colored laces in the skates. The Huskies host first-place Rochester JM at 7:30 p.m.

Silent auction baskets will be raffled during the game. All proceeds will go to the local From the Heart fundraiser that benefits local families. If you would like to donate a basket, please contact Wendy Bogen at (507) 456-4024.
