The Huskies continued their successful season with a first-place finish at the Big Nine Conference tournament held at the Owatonna High School gym.

The Huskies are back on top of the conference. The Huskies captured four titles in a row from the 2008-09 season through 2011-12. Owatonna's score on Saturday was 144.20. Rochester Century finished second with 142.025. Austin was third with 140.90. Huskies coach Tom Smith earned the conference coach of the year honor.

Owatonna was first in vault (36.925) and floor (37.1). The Huskies were second on the beam (35.05). Century won the beam (35.75). OHS was third in bars (35.125). Austin won the bars (35.925).

Owatonna will host the Section 1AA meet Friday, February 12, at the OHS gym. OHS has never won a section crown. The Huskies are among the top-ranked teams in the state. Rochester Century and Farmington are also ranked in the top 20.
