The Owatonna girls tennis team continued its sparkling start to the season with a 7-0 sweep of Rochester John Marshall Thursday. Owatonna (8-0 overall, 7-0 in the Big Nine) plays at a non-conference tournament Saturday at Waseca. Tuesday the Huskies host top five ranked Rochester Mayo at 4:30 at the high school courts. Mayo has defeated Owatonna in the section finals each of the last four years.

Owatonna's volleyball team won its conference opener Thursday at Albert Lea 3-0, the first win for new coach Whitney Ordal. The Huskies dominated the first two sets, before a closer finish in the third. OHS is at the Marshall tournament Friday and Saturday. Tuesday the Huskies entertain Northfield in a key conference section showdown. Kat Kountry 105FM will provide radio coverage.

The Huskies soccer teams fell to Northfield Thursday. The girls lost 2-0 at Northfield. The Raiders are yet to allow a goal and improved to 4-0 overall. The boys game went Northfield 2-1. OHS plays a double header at Minnetonka Saturday. The girls play at 2PM with the boys to follow.

Owatonna's girls swimming team won their home opener Thursday 94-86 over Mankato East.
