The eighth annual Ride for Hope will take place this Saturday, July 9. It's a fundraising collaboration between the Owatonna Eagles and Wenger. Registration begins at 8AM with the ride starting at 10AM.  Motorcycle fees are $20 for single or $25 for double. Cars are also welcome for $20 for the driver and then $5 per passenger.

This year's goal is to raise $10,000, which will go to the following nonprofits:

  • Beyond the Yellow Ribbon
  • Eagles Cancer Telethon
  • Open Arms Suicide Prevention Program
  • Eagles Diabetes Research Center
  • Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America

This year's route will be a little different because of road construction. Participants will head out of town on Highway 218 and then follow the route south of Albert Lea and then return through Minnesota Lake and on up and back over to the Owatonna Eagles for a taco bar. Nonriders are invited to stop in at 6PM for the meal for a $6 donation.

Check out the Ride for Hope Facebook page for this year's route.
