Owatonna Businesswoman to Receive National ‘Rising Stars’ Award

Kate Harthan of Corporate Recognition in Owatonna has been named as one of the "Rising Stars" through an industry magazine.

Corporate Recognition is a promotional product distributor at 125 W. Bridge St. in Owatonna. Harthan, the operations director, recently received the honor from Promotional Products Business Magazine for her accomplishments, leadership and industry involvement. Harthan will be recognized in August at a national conference in Austin, Texas. She and the other rising stars will be featured in the September publication of PPB Magazine.

In a news release from the company, Harthan said, "It's an honor for both myself and Corporate Recognition to receive international recognition within our industry. We're the smallest of the companies recognized, and have only one office location as opposed to multiple, but this recognition affirms that we are promotional products experts not only to our customers."

Harthan was one of 20 selected for the award out of more than 80 nominated.

Corporate Recognition owner Pam Kubat said, "She has worked very hard and is well deserving of this distinguished recognition." She added, "We are proud to have Kate working for us and for her leadership in moving Corporate Recognition forward."
