The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism announced in their Tuesday e-newsletter that a business is changing locations. Spherion Staffing will soon be operating out of downtown Owatonna at 134 East Vine Street, Suite 1.

The chamber invites residents to provide feedback and thoughts on the proposed streetscape plan from the city and the MainStreet program. Go here for an online, interactive map with details. The newsletter states, "The downtown streetscape plan will help guide future improvements and development within the historic downtown area."

The chamber's annual dinner was held January 18 with the theme of "Celebrate the Connection: Highway 14," as a way to recognize that funding came through last year to complete highway expansion to a four-lane roadway between Owatonna and Dodge Center.

The next Business After Hours will be held Tuesday, January 29 with Horizon Eyecare Professionals and Fernbrook Family Business Center sharing hosting honors. After Hours will begin at 5:30 pm at 2560 Harvest Lane NW.

In other notes from the Owatonna Chamber's newsletter:

  • The next SteeleCoWorks employer meeting is Friday, January 25 at OHS Options at 11 am.
