Owatonna senior Carter Broton scored twice as the Huskies beat Sheboygan, WI 4-1 at the Duluth Heritage tournament Wednesday.

John Swenson opened the scoring late in the first period with a power play goal. Sheboygan tied the game early in the second. The Huskies regained the lead a short time later on a Kodey Kiel goal. Broton boosted OHS to a 3-1 by second intermission and scored the only goal of the third for the 4-1 win. OHS converted on two power play chances for the second straight game.

The Huskies lost to St. Louis Park 5-2 Tuesday. They play Apple Valley Thursday afternoon to round out the round-robin tournament. OHS returns home to host North St. Paul Saturday at 12PM.

Owatonna's girls' hockey team fell to Totino-Grace Wednesday 1-0. The Eagles scored an even strength goal in the first period and it stood up. OHS out shot Totino-Grace 23-20. Each team was 0-for-3 on the power play. The Huskies went 0-3 in the Bronze Division of the Schwan Cup tournament. Owatonna returns to conference action Tuesday hosting Austin at 7PM at Four Seasons.

NRHEG boys' basketball improved to 7-0 with a 52-47 win over St. Croix Lutheran in the semifinals of the Bethany tournament in Mankato. Benji Lundberg scored 17. Chad Agrimson had 12 and Oakley Baker added 10. The Panthers face Gopher Conference rival Maple River in the title game Thursday at 8:30PM.

The NRHEG girls' basketball squad lost to Eastview 71-39 in the opener of the St. Olaf tournament. The Panthers meet Hastings at 1:30PM Thursday. Triton's girls closed out play at the Randolph tournament with a 55-52 overtime victory against Cannon Falls. Kendra Petersohn led the Cobras with 22 points. Nicole Cress scored 15 and Alexis Melder contributed 10.

The Owatonna boys basketball team hosts St. Michael-Albertville Thursday at 7PM with coverage on KRFO AM 1390.
