Owatonna Boot Hockey Tournament

Register by Wednesday, January 28th to be part of the FIRST Owatonna Park and Rec Boot Hockey Tournament on Saturday, February 7th at Morehouse Park Outdoor Rinks.  This will be a 5 vs. 5 double elimination.  All games are 30 minutes long with three 10 minute periods.

The tournament brackets include:  15 and Under (Co-ed Youth bracket starts at 9 a.m.), 16 and Over (Co-Ed Adult bracket starts at Noon)... Teams are eligible to have 7 players... Players may only participate on one team.

This tournament is FREE for Youth teams.  For Adult teams, it is a $50 per team fee.   There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams from each bracket.

A few general rules include:

• No goalies.
• All players must wear helmets and other protective equipment is highly recommended.
• Teams are required to wear similar colored jerseys.
• NO body checking allowed.
• Face-offs will be used at the beginning of the game and after stoppages of play.
• All games will be officiated.  Flagrant penalties will be called.  Players will be charged with a 2-minute penalty.
