Tuesday was a rough night for the KRFO-area football teams. Owatonna lost 15-3 to Northfield. Blooming Prairie lost 28-14 at Bethlehem Academy. And Triton lost 42-21 at Lewiston.

Northfield senior kicker Isaac Stadler hit five field goals as the fourth-seeded Raiders scored a 15-3 win over top seed Owatonna on Tuesday night in the Section 1-5A semifinals. Four of those kicks came in the second quarter as Owatonna had trouble moving the ball out of their own territory. A pair of turnovers and two punts gave the Northfield great field position to build a 12-3 halftime lead.

Stadler connected from 30, 47, 36 and 25 yards in the second and added a 22-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Owatonna's Aidan Buryska opened the scoring with a 29-yard field goal with 2:09 left in the first quarter.

Owatonna outgained Northfield about 270-220 yards but had trouble converting on third down. Huskies senior quarterback Alex Emanuelson was under constant pressure and was sacked several times.

Owatonna's defense stood tall while being put in tough positions all night. Northfield had a first and goal late in the second quarter and the Huskies held them out of the end zone. The Raiders completed only seven of 20 pass attempts.

The Huskies end their season at 7-2. Northfield (5-5) will play at Rochester John Marshall on Saturday night in the section final.
