Formed in 1962 and still recording: The Nashville Teens, according to their website.

Surrey 1962, Ray Phillips and Arthur Sharp form two bands into one, becoming The Nashville Teens and have two lead singers. Barrie Jenkins was on drums and John Hawkens on keyboards.

The Nashville Teens were playing in clubs and were backup for Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Then the Teens recorded "Tobacco Road," which was originally a country song. They made a few records and went on tour, including to the U.S. However, the Teens were restricted to just a few shows and flew back to the U.K.

Along with the Beatles, The Nashville Teens and other pop stars were in the 1964 film "Pop Gear." The Teens were on some U.K. TV shows with live performances.

Jenkins and Hawkens left the group to be in other bands. Sharp went on to become a record producer.

The Nashville Teens still record and play some small venues. Ray Phillips, the original member, has four children and his daughter Vanessa has been known to sing with them. The Teens members also include Adrian Metcalfe on drums and next to Phillips has been with the group the longest. Ken Osborn is lead guitarist, Colin Pattenden with vocals and on bass and Simon Spratley with vocals and on keyboards.
