After being in other bands, Ray Dorey, Dave Taylor, Stuart Edwards and George Weyman formed Greenfield Hammer in 1968.

After auditioning for a couple of songwriters in London, their group was joined by Tony Burrows and according to edisonlighthouse.co.uk, "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" was an England chart topper in January 1970. It was a top hit in the U.S., Europe and Japan. According to bbbc.co.uk, Burrows decided to tour with other bands.

That song put them on TV including The Mama Cass Show, magazine interviews and photo sessions.

The first venue as Edison Lighthouse was at Coventry Locarno with a revolving stage and lots of screams. There were many ups and downs in the weeks and months of playing in Wales, Scotland and Scandinavia. They were unable to make to America due to technicalities.

After five weeks on the charts, "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" dropped from the charts and the writers could not match the success and went their separate ways.

Edison Lighthouse did continue to tour and eventually went on to find "proper jobs."

Dave Taylor formed Liar and was able to get a record deal and tour.

Stuart Edwards and George Weyman teamed up with some friends to play locally for the fun of music. Eventually one member left and Taylor was asked to join. That formed Dangerous Age. Weyman passed away.

Ray Dorey "climbed the corporate ladder" and travels to see family and friends in the UK. Dorey does sing at family gatherings and has met up with Edwards and Taylor in at least one occasion.
