One Dead In Fatal Crash In Northern Minnesota
One person was killed and another was injured in a crash in northern Minnesota over the weekend.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 33-year-old Christopher Stiles of Sauk Centre was driving a Cadillac DTS southbound on Highway 71 near Sauk Centre when it swerved into the northbound lane and was struck by a Ford pickup, driven by 30-year-old Kerri Beckermann of Sauk Centre. The Cadillac continued into the east side ditch and struck two different trees.
The Ford pickup came to rest on the northbound shoulder on its side.
Stiles was pronounced dead at the scene, while Beckermann was transported to CentraCare in St Cloud with non-life threating injuries.
