Owatonna junior swimmer Mattie Shaver missed the finals for the 50 freestyle at the state swimming meet. Huskies girls hockey lost at #5 ranked Red Wing.

OHS swimmer Mattie Shaver clocked a time of 24.81 seconds in the preliminaries of the state AA swimming meet at the University of Minnesota. She finished 21st. The top 16 advance to Friday's finals.

Huskies girls hockey lost at #5 ranked Red Wing 5-1. The Wingers out shot Owatonna 35-13. Senior goalie Kacy Borwege (who celebrated her 18th birthday on Thursday) made 30 saves, including several stops on great scoring chances for future UMD Bulldog Reagan Haley. Owatonna freshman Margo Achterkirch scored the Huskies goal on an assist from freshman Jamie Davison late in the third period. OHS plays at Bloomington Jefferson Saturday (Nov 15) at 3:00. The next home game for Owatonna is Friday November 21 vs Eveleth-Gilbert.
