OHS Sports: Section Update

The Huskies Girls Lacrosse team won its playoff opener on Wednesday. Girls Golf and Boys & Girls Track sections start Thursday. Boys Golf begins Saturday.

PLAYOFF WIN; ANOTHER SCHOOL RECORD WIN TOTAL

With a 16-6 victory over Rochester Century Wednesday at Owatonna High School, with Huskies girls lacrosse team won its 11th game of the season. Toni Nelson and Krista Kniefel each scored five goals. #4 seed Owatonna plays at top seed Farmington Friday night at 7:00. The winner advances to the section final next Tuesday. Lakeville South and Lakeville North meet in the other semifinal on Friday.

SECTION 1AAA GIRLS GOLF TOURNAMENT STARTS THURSDAY

Big Nine champion Owatonna opens section tournament play on Thursday at Cannon Golf Club in Cannon Falls.

TRACK AND FIELD SECTIONS START THURSDAY

Owatonna's boys and girls begin their battle for state meet bids on Thursday at Lakeville South High School. The sections will continue on Saturday.

BOYS GOLF HEADS TO A NEW COURSE FOR THE SECTION MEET

Section 1AAA boys golf will hold its two-day tournament at Montgomery on Saturday and Monday.
