The Owatonna High School boys and girls lacrosse teams are each having a great season. Both have a great record and some good stories too.

The OHS boys are 5-1 entering Tuesday's game at Farmington. Last week the Huskies staged a huge 4th quarter comeback to beat Northfield. Coach Scott Seykora:

"That was pretty exciting. Michael Scmitz got us going with about 5 1/2 minutes left...Four more in the next 2:18...It was a series of fast breaks."

The Huskies made a few poor passes that night that led to some great chances for the Raiders against senior goalie Scott Swenson.

"Scott came up huge with some really big saves...He's been really great for us in the next this year."

The OHS girls are 5-2 after a big win over Blooming Kennedy last Friday night. The girls were very vocal in cheering on the boys last Tuesday. Coach Bill Bernard:

"Our girls love to support our boys lacrosse team."

The girls that night had just come back from a lopsided win at Northfield. A game where there was no public address system, but the Huskies made sure there would be a National Anthem:

"Our girls said we can sing."

The Northfield players, and the fans, eventually joined them.
