New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva senior Jade Schultz will join teammate Carlie Wagner on the University of Minnesota women's basketball team next fall according to a tweet on Monday by MSHSL Media Specialist John Millea.  Schultz's dad, NRHEG head coach John Schultz, confirmed via email that his daughter, Jade, committed to the U of M over the weekend.

The 5'9'' forward averages 12 ppg and 8 rpg for the Panthers (26-0) this season.  NRHEG will play conference rival Waterville-Elysian-Morristown for the Subsection 2AA South championship at MSU-Mankato tonight at 8 PM on Kat Kountry 104.9 FM.  You can also listen to the game online here.  The Panthers swept the Bucs during the regular season and are the defending State champs.  Wagner, who officially signed with Pam Borton's squad in February, is the State's 3rd leading all-time scorer (3,779) and is just 110 points from passing Minneapolis South's Tayler Hill for second all-time.
