MANKATO--New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls basketball will be at the State tournament for the third straight year following a convincing 70-36 win over Norwood-Young America in the Section 2AA championship on Friday night.  The Panthers jumped out to a quick 20-2 lead over the Raiders and never looked back.  Seniors Carlie Wagner and Jade Schultz, both who will play for the Gophers next season, had 31 and 20 points, respectively, to lead NRHEG.

The Panthers are the defending Class AA State champions, are 27-0 on the season, and have won 58 straight games overall.  NRHEG will likely be the No. 1 seed in next week's Class AA tournament, meaning they would play at 2PM on Wednesday at Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.  All of NRHEG's State tournament games can be heard live on Kat Kountry 104.9 FM & krforadio.com.
