National Kids to Parks Day is this Saturday, May 19. It was launched in 2011 in an attempt to get youth out and about discovering what parks have to offer. The Owatonna Parks and Rec will be out and about at several locations this Saturday offering sports, arts and crafts along with games and more.

This Saturday they will be at the Soccer Complex from 9-10AM. Then from 10:30-11:30AM they will be at the Lincoln Apartment Complex. From 1-2PM they'll be at the Jaycee Park. Bring along the family and enjoy.

Members of Parks and Rec will continue to be out and about on Wednesdays through June, July and early August. You can find the schedule at the Owatonna Parks and Rec web site.

Parks and Rec also have three movie nights planned this summer with shows starting at dusk. Wonder will be shown in Central Park on June 22. The movie Leap will be offered at Brown Park on July 13 with 101 Dalmations showing at the Dog Park on September 14.
