The Minnesota Twins winter caravan -- a taste of summer in the dead of winter -- stops in Owatonna on Thursday, January 28, at 6PM at Plaza Morena.

Twins outfielder Eduardo Escobar and catcher John Dale Murphy will be joined by broadcasters and Twins legends Jack Morris and Dan Gladden.

The caravan event begins at 6PM at Plaza Morena Campestre Grill on 26th Street Northeast in Owatonna. You are invited to arrive early for the best seats and a chance to grab dinner off the Plaza's menu. The program will include a review of last season, a preview of 2016 and a Q&A session. Fans can have one item autographed per player.

Escobar played in 127 games in 2015, batting .262 with 12 home runs and 58 RBI. Murphy was acquired by the Twins from the Yankees in the deal for Aaron Hicks. Murphy appeared in 67 games in 2015. He played in 48 games combined in 2013 and 2014. Murphy has hit .267 over those three season with four homers.

2015 was an impressive season for the Twins and first-year manager Paul Molitor. Minnesota remained in wild-card contention for most of the summer and fall after several rough seasons.

KRFO Radio AM 1390 is happy to help host the caravan on January 28 and is the place to hear Twins baseball in 2016.
