The annual Minnesota Twins Play Ball youth baseball and softball clinic will be Saturday, June 25, at the Steele County Fairgrounds diamond No. 1.

The free event is open to boys and girls ages 6-16. Youth 1st of Owatonna and Great River Energy are flagship sponsors, along with a number of Owatonna-area businesses that are promoting the clinic.

The schedule for Saturday is children ages 6-9 will have their time from 9-10:30AM. Boys and girls ages 10-16 will take their turn from 10:30AM to noon. Players should bring their own gloves.

Participants will receive a Play Ball Minnesota gift and t-shirt. There will be a free picnic lunch for players and their families as well as drawings for door prizes. A free photo booth will also be available. In case of bad weather, the clinic will be held at the Owatonna Junior High. Some of the other regional Play Ball clinics are coming up July 15 at Kasson and July 23 at Elko.

The Play Ball clinics are a service of the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. This summer marks the 56th year of the free event.
