Jennifer LeMay shared her home surveillance footage on Facebook. The video shows what appears to be a uniformed police officer shooting two dogs in her fenced-in backyard.

Lemay wasn't even home at the time. She had taken her family out of town on a camping trip. Her daughters, ages 18 and 13, returned from camping early and accidentally triggered the home security system. Police were notified and sent to check on the home and that's when the shooting occurred.

Jennifer's family is upset and looking for answers. At last check both dogs were still alive. A GoFundMe page was established to help pay for their medical expenses.

Minneapolis police released a statement which was published by the WCCO. They said they were aware of the shooting.  “Anytime an officer discharges their firearm in the line of duty there is an investigation that is completed by the Minneapolis Police Department’s Internal Affairs Unit,” the statement said. “We are in the process of reviewing the video posted online, as well as the officer’s body camera video.”
