It sounds like a challenge. Ride all the rides, as often as you like, as long as can handle, for as many days as you can attend the Steele County Free Fair in Owatonna.

The popular mega-ride ticket goes on sale July 15 exclusively as Hy-Vee Food Store in Owatonna. The holder can ride all the rides of the Goldstar midway during the fair August 15-20, 2017. Mega-ride tickets are $55. Tickets must be purchased by 5PM on the opening day of the fair. My daughter took on the task of trying to set a record for times on the Tilt-A-Whirl a few years ago.

In other news from the fair office, vendors will frequently hire people to help run their stands. You can stop at the fair office or download the form from their website. Vendors will directly contact applicants. My son worked the week at a doughnut booth a couple of years ago. He didn't have as much fun with that as his sister and her ride wristband.

Entry forms are available for the amateur talent contest to be held Sunday, August 20, at 2PM. The hobbies department invites people to hand-craft an item from fabric and beads available at the fair office for $3 per packet.

Fair exhibitor guides, color brochures and pocket schedules are available at various businesses and at the fair office. Hand sanitizing stations will be available around the fairgrounds, sponsored by Allina-Owatonna Hospital.
