Medford students returned to school Tuesday with students in grades 7-12 having their first day of class. The younger students are spending the first few days of school in "school readiness," which consists of meeting with parents and teachers, taking pictures and so on. The first- through sixth-graders will have their first day of class on Thursday and the preschool and kindergartners will have theirs on Monday.

Medford boasts an enrollment of 903 in K-12 this year, with an increase of 29 students in the high school. There will be a change in math curriculum for all grades starting this school year. There are five new elementary teachers and eight new high school teachers.

Some changes made over the summer including landscaping, parking lot repair and an update in access security to the school. Sixty new lockers were added to the elementary, cutting back on the need to share lockers. A batting cage and new fencing were added at the baseball field. TV monitors were installed in the entry and lunch room as well.
