The University of Minnesota Extension Service and the Minnesota Corn Growers Association will be sponsoring a Marketing Plan Workshop at the Steele County Community Center on the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna on Wednesday March 6, 2019. This workshop is designed to help farmers and agri-business professionals write a pre-harvest marketing plan, along with reviewing pricing tools. The workshop will begin at 9:00 am and wrap up at 11:00 am.

The workshop will be led by Marketing specialist Ed Usset, David Bau, and Nathan Hulinsky, Extension Educators in Ag Business Management. Attendees will have the opportunity to execute a pre-harvest plan in a simulation game. There is no charge and you do not have to pre-register. Determining how and when to market corn and soybeans is difficult in today's environment with low prices. However, successfully marketing corn and soybeans can help a farmer generate higher margins.
