Mad Scientist Lab in Owatonna

While you are out and about trick-or-treating in Owatonna, make sure to stop by the Verhota home on Halloween. Joe and Vicki Verhota are decorating up their yard for their 5th Annual Haunted Yard and Foodshelf Drive. This year they are "going mad" and will be featuring a mad scientist's lab.

I have stopped by the past few years, and they really go all out. The time they must spend on getting their yard and garage ready for Halloween every year, well, I don't even decorate that much for Christmas!

You can swing by any time on Halloween and drop off non-perishable food donations or monetary donations that will go directly to the Steele County Food Shelf. They will be welcoming trick-or-treaters from 5-8 pm (weather permitting).  The address is 338 13th ST NE, in Owatonna.

They raised a record amount last year, and are hoping to top that this year. For last year's numbers, you can check here. I can't wait to see what they all come up for their lab.
