It was a hot one at the Steele County Free Fair on Wednesday. But the breeze, when you could catch it, was nice, and the atmosphere was great.

It was a perfect day for the kids lumberjack camp. One of the instructors is a national lumberjack champion, so they are definitely qualified. If you fell off the log into the pool, it felt better than staying on. And the kids were having fun learning other skills, too, including how to use a two-man crosscut sawing.

The pigs didn't seem to mind the sun, running for the prize of a mini-doughnut. The crowds cheered them on, maybe thinking of the bacon those racers might someday become.

To take a break from the sunshine, check out the classic trucks in the Auto Show building next to the KRFO Stage.
