Owatonna High School freshman Peyton Robb won the state Class AAA title on Saturday with a 12-5 decision over Victor Gliva of Farmington. Listen to all the Owatonna placing matches.

Robb is the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the state at 106 pounds, but No. 2 Gliva beat Robb for the section title in Rochester on Feb. 21. Robb left little doubt of his top billing with a dominating performance at Xcel Energy Center on Championship Saturday of the state high school wrestling tournament.

Robb grabbed a quick 4-2 lead after a scramble in the opening seconds and led the entire way. It was 6-3 after the first period, 8-3 after two and the final was 12-5. It was Robb's second appearance at the state tournament.

The championship is the 23rd individual title in Owatonna High School wrestling history. It's the first since Dalton Henderson in 2010.

KRFO's Roy Koenig had the call of the action.
