What a beautiful, sunny day Saturday, July 25, turned out to be, and a nice day for The Ride For A Cause -- Toys For Tots -- that took place, leaving from Blooming Prairie.

There were about 45 bikes and 65 people who made their way to Rose Creek, LeRoy, Harmony, Spring Valley, Dexter and then making their way back to Blooming Prairie for supper. There was a stop for about an hour for lunch.

This is the 16th annual Ride For A Cause. Last year the ride raised about $8,000.

Last month, it was Cruise for a Cure that took place with about 25 bikes and nine cars making about $600.

Just a side note, next will be the fourth annual Jacob Run on Sept. 12 and will start in Owatonna. That route will include going through Blooming Prairie and St. Ansgar, Iowa, to Hayward and returning to Owatonna.

Registration will be at 8AM and the ride begins at 10:30AM. It is to benefit Open Arms Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention and raise money for scholarships that will be given to graduating seniors.

Here is the start of the ride. Here the rumble of the bikes.

The sun is shining above ... Think Happy Thoughts.
