Monday was a rainy day Monday. According to NOAA.com, Owatonna received around two inches of rain that started in the early morning through the afternoon. Faribault received over two-and-a-half inches.

After the rain passed, it became hazy with the smell of smoke in the air. It was actually smoke from forest fires in Canada and there are many.

After the rains, the Air Quality in the area was bad. An Air Advisory covers all of Minnesota and into the five state area.

Last week there was talk that the smoke was putting an orange tint on the sun, which was also from the forest fires. That lasted a couple of days.

When I was driving home on Monday, I did take a few pictures. I noticed as I drove through the smoke, it looked like it was more off in the distance, unlike fog where it is right there.

The sun is shining above ... Think Happy Thoughts.
