That translates to D.E.A.R. Day and it is today. This is also Library Week.

Libraries seem to have all sorts of computers there, which can be used for email, job search and career resources. I signed up for my first email account at the library.

The library also has tax forms, which is right around the corner on April 18. You can also check the 2010 Census.

We cannot forget about the many books at the library and in all sort of forms like e-books, audio books. Books for all ages and categories; sci-fi, horror also fiction and nonfiction. Owatonna Public Library After Christmas book sale is a cool event. Plus DVDs and CDs can be checked out.

The Owatonna Public Library also shows Indie films on the second and fourth Thursdays at 2PM April-September. On the 14th it is The Day I Saw Your Heart (France) a film by Jennifer Devoldere. Meetings are known to be held in the Gainey Room at the library, too.

Programs for kids at the library includes: It's Tale Time on Tuesdays at 9:30 and 10:30AM. In Blooming Prairie, Storytime is at 10:30AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Also Family Story Time are Thursdays at 6:30PM. Owatonna Family Fun Night takes place on the third Thursdays at 6:30 for families and friends with rhymes and crafts. April 21 theme is Let's Drive and in Blooming Prairie ECFE Family Fun Night will be Celebrate Earth.

They even have a comfortable place to read.

Libraries can be big and small. Neighborhood Libraries have been known to pop up with little houses in people's front yards where books can be donated and exchanged.

Enjoy the library. Enjoy reading.

The sun is shining above ... Think Happy Thoughts.
