Nearly four years ago, I found a lost white kitten and gave her a home after taking her for a check-up at the vet. She had some scrapes, singed fur that was dirty and ear mites. All that was taken care of with medicine. Otherwise, pretty healthy.

I named her Frankie because of her blue eyes. We changed it to Boo from the movie Monsters, Inc.  My husband would call her a monster sometimes. So really Frankie fit - Frankenstein. On the anniversary of bringing her home, I would call her Frankie.

Why did my husband call her a monster? Same reason I would call her a fuzzy, white alarm clock. She would meow, sometimes very loudly, really early in the morning. Going to miss that. She would also have "mmmm" - that said "I am right here, pet me." Her meows would also have a rolling r and then meow.

One evening early on, Boo was trying to open a cabinet, George (our black cat) sneaked up behind her and gave his meanest hiss. Boo did not react. That was disappointing to George. Why did she not react? She was deaf.

What a character. She would all of a sudden pop up into a window to greet us. Then go to the side window and greet us louder. Boo would greet our neighbors or anyone else coming to our house. George would run upstairs but not for long because he could be brave if she could.

Strings and boxes all belonged to Boo. We always knew when we had the right toy because before we could flick it or roll it, she would bounce or bat at it. So funny.

At four-years-old, Boo died of kidney failure. R.I.P. little one.

The sun is shining above ... Think Happy Thoughts.
