This weekend I watched some hockey playoffs because they were on NBC and it actually came in clean.

Generally speaking, I root for teams that haven't been in the playoffs for the longest time. Of course, I always root for Minnesota teams no matter who they are up against.

When I was watching the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals, one Islander was a "helicopter" on the ice as he was spinning flat on his belly and his stick hit the puck away from the Capital player. In baseball, it is a Superman catch and in hockey it is a helicopter spin.

I thought it was cool that they projected a waving flag that covered the ice during the national anthem before the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators game.

It's quite the tradition in hockey to not shave during the playoffs. By the time the Stanley Cup winners take off their helmets, the guys are very shaggy. I wonder if some of the fans follow that tradition, too?

All in all, there was a lot of action and a lot of fun watching. However, I couldn't root too  loudly; I had to stay somewhat calm. I didn't want to disturb the kitties that were by me. Normally, I am a little loud watching sports.

Go Wild!

The sun is shining above ... Think Happy Thoughts.
