Road construction will begin Monday, May 2, on County State Aid Highway 7 or Lemond Road. Plans are for the pavement to be replaced between CSAH 18 or Southwest 28th Street and CSAH 32 or Southwest 82nd Avenue.

The roadway will closed to through traffic as the existing roadway will be replaced with new concrete pavement and gravel shoulders. This also will affect some right turn lanes.

The contractor will maintain access to properties along the project that don't have an alternate access. The contractor also will coordinate mail delivery, garbage pickup and school buses.

The posted detour route will be along CSAH 18 or Southwest 28th Street and CSAH 32 or Southwest 82nd Avenue.

As always, allow for extra time and drive safely near the construction site.

Work is expected to be completed by mid- to late August this year.
